We are going to have a fantastic year of cruising in 2007!

The plan for 2007 is to have a lot of fun, to increase the number and attendance of local cruises that we do, and to promote cruising in Southern Nevada.

Having fun won't be hard for us. The laughter and comraderie in this club is infectious and fills the air whenever we get together - no matter what we are doing.

It seems like we are becoming more a "racing" club than a cruising club which is OK by me. It has been said that whenever 2 or more boats are within sight of each other - they are racing! With that said the Lake Mead Sailing Club has a fantastic cruising schedule already in place which would be a natural fit for us. Hobie Fleet 51 has some great events and cruises scheduled that would be great to mirror and Keelboats make excellent rescue crafts for Hobies. Hopefully this merging of club cruising activities will unify enthusiam for cruising and add safety in numbers and make for higher attendance at each other's cruising events. It will also help spread experience about Lake Mead Sailing and Safety from our more experienced sailors down to the beginning level.
